Woman says settlement not 100 percent compensation for husband's impotence injury

A woman from Portugal has been awarded compensation after making a work injury claim for a workplace incident which left her husband impotent.

After having her work injury claim settled for 50,000 euros, the claimant said that the settlement did not represent 100 percent compensation as it should have reflected the fact that the injury has had profound consequences not only for her but also for her whole family.

She told Publico, "I'd rather stay poor and do without the money, because no money in the world can match good health - but the verdict is just."

The claimant's husband, who now suffers from acute jealousy and a volatile temperament, has already received 350,000 euros after making a separate work injury claim with a workplace accident solicitor.
