Brake, the road safety charity, has announced that it will be holding safety workshops for van drivers on whiplash, the injury responsible for more personal injury claims than any other.
With more than 1,000 car crash compensation claims made each day, Brake hope to reduce the incidence of whiplash through a series of "meet the expert" workshops to be led by Mark Avery, research manager at Thatcham.
Those attending the workshops will be given tours of Thatcham's car crash test laboratory. Much of the workshop will focus on reducing whiplash through the correct positioning of head restraints, something an estimated 75% of drivers fail to do.
