An air ambulance had to be called after passengers involved in a two car crash suffered injuries including whiplash, chest and leg injuries.
The car accident took place in Stone, near Maltby last Wednesday after a green Rover headed towards Maltby on the A634 veered across the carriageway hitting an oncoming Honda Jazz.
The 50-year-old Rover driver suffered serious chest injuries in the crash while his 52-year-old passenger suffered chest and leg injuries and a 25-year-old also in the car, suffered severe whiplash.
The 74-year-old driver of the Honda also suffered slight whiplash while his 73-year-old passenger was left with serious leg and chest injuries following the car crash.
South Yorkshire Police are appealing for witnesses to the car accident to help them with their investigations.
It has not been reported if any whiplash compensation claims or car crash claims have been made following the accident.
