A man was airlifted to hospital suffering from whiplash injuries after a car crash on a busy Preston road at 1.50pm last Thursday (25th February).
Four cars in total were involved in the car accident and at least three other people were taken to hospital by road.
The seriously injured man was cut out of his red Volkswagen Golf and taken on a long board on to the air ambulance.
A witness to the accident said, "We just saw the air ambulance and thought, 'That looks like it's going to land".
Police cleared the roads surrounding the incident to allow the helicopter to land and the road coming into Preston was closed and diversions were made through Deepdale Road.
It was not thought that the airlifted man's whiplash injuries were life threatening.
