Spilt drinks result in personal injury claim

A man in the United States has contacted a personal injury solicitor after spilt drinks in a bar resulted in him suffering permanent injuries.

Stanley Pyszka of Mount Vernon, Illinois, launched the accident claim after another customer at Pop's Salon allegedly slipped on a wet floor and collided with him.

The incident is said to have left Pyszka with personal injuries to numerous parts of his body and a damaged nervous system and he is now demanding more than $50,000 in injury compensation.

He claims the owners of the bar should have ensured that the floor was free from spilt drinks and that, as they did not, they should be held responsible for his injuries.

His personal injury solicitor, Nathan Lanter of Nelson & Nelson, has said that the spilt drinks "presented an unreasonable risk of harm to persons on the dance floor".

The case continues.
