Bride suffers burns days before wedding

A bride has sought the advice of a personal injury lawyer after a trip to a hair salon left her with serious burns just days before her wedding.

The 37-year-old from Tottenham suffered toxic shock after an inexperienced assistant incorrectly mixed the chemicals to dye her hair.

The Tottenham-based woman was so seriously injured from the chemical burns that she had to go from the salon in Hertfordshire to Homerton Hospital and from there to her wedding.

The personal injury left the woman with patches of hair loss, following which the bride-to-be had to seek the cover of a wig for her wedding day.

In the last twelve months, personal injury lawyers have dealt with 34 cases of salon-related-injury in London alone.

This latest salon accident comes as the Association of Personal Injury Lawyers is launching a campaign to have hairdressers regulated.

Now married, the woman's personal injury solicitor is helping her take legal action against the salon which treated her.
