A no win, no fee solicitor has helped a woman from Bradford secure accident at work compensation following an incident in which she broke her ankle while working at Bradford Royal Infirmary.
The 23-year-old radiographer had been moving a patient privacy screen when its wheels collided with her ankle, causing an impact fracture. Her no win, no fee solicitor successfully argued that the hospital worker had never received sufficient training in how to move the screen properly.
While speaking to the Bradford Telegraph and Argus, the successful claimant said, "I feel I have had to learn the hard way when really I should have been provided with adequate training to avoid going through what has been a particularly painful injury."
The no win, no fee solicitor who represented the claim added his belief that correct training would have prevented the accident. "A few seconds of instruction would have saved this client a lot of pain and time," he said.
A personal injury compensation settlement of £3,000 has been paid to the claimant.
