Welder happy with compensation win

A fabricator welder has been awarded £5,500 in work injury compensation after making a no win, no fee claim for a work-related angle grinder accident.

The no win, no fee claim almost never happened though, as the first firm of personal injury lawyers the claimant contacted advised him against pursuing any form of litigation.

Liability for the accident at work was repeatedly denied by the insurers of the man's employers, however, they eventually softened their stance and negotiated an out-of-court settlement.

The successful claimant was delighted with the outcome of his no win, no fee claim. He issued a statement saying, "I was extremely pleased by the way in which my case was handled."
