Tourists to Scotland have been experiencing a high number of holiday accidents at top tourist spots according to figures revealed under the Freedom of Information Act.
Since the beginning of the year, almost 250 people have been injured at top tourist sites which have resulted in five successful claims for personal injury compensation.
Past holiday accidents have included injuries from collisions with cannons, falling flagpoles and hogweed burns.
A spokesperson for Visit Scotland said that staff and customer safety was of "paramount importance."
She added that the nature of the work on the sites they manage presents "unique" health and safety challenges.
