A holiday that ended in tragedy may lead to a holiday accident compensation claim after a teenager died in a motorbike accident while abroad.
The 16-year-old boy was on the Greek island of Crete when the crashed occurred.
The boy attended the Pupil Referral Unit in Watersheddings, Oldham who described him as "a really nice lad with loads of mates."
His head teacher described him as a "friendly, likeable young man."
The boy's funeral is due to take place at SS Aidan and Oswald RC Church in Royton this Friday.
Full details surrounding his motorbike crash have not been reported.
An inquest is due to be held once Greek police have concluded their investigations into the accident.
Following the inquest's verdict, a holiday accident claim could be made for the boy.
