TA soldier makes compensation claim against MoD

A former TA corporal who was severely injured by a Scud missile in Kuwait has made a compensation claim against the Ministry of Defence for £2.8 million.

The 39-year-old was injured by a missile in Northern Kuwait on the first day of the Iraq invasion in March 2003.

He was rushed to hospital and underwent numerous operations to his stomach, shoulder, throat, knees, bladder, spine and bowel.

In 2005, the father of two was medically discharged from the TA and he was later forced to leave his £100,000-a-year job in human resources.

He decided to contact personal injury solicitors and make an accident claim against the MoD for his future loss of earnings.

The compensation claim still continues.
