Two children from South Yorkshire could be in a position to make no win, no fee personal injury compensation claims after being hurt on a funfair ride.
The youngsters suffered arm and leg injuries when a ride in Rotherham appeared to become derailed and they were rushed to hospital immediately. Several other passengers were also reported to have been left bruised by the fairground accident but did not require medical treatment.
Exactly how the accident occurred is still unknown but health and safety specialists were dispatched to the scene to conduct a thorough investigation.
The ride was one of a number of attractions at a popular Rotherham show and more than 80,000 people were reported to have attended the event over the weekend of the 8/9th September 2007.
A Rotherham Council spokeswoman commented on the incident, saying, "The accident is under investigation and at this stage it is not exactly clear what happened. We are awaiting a report from the experts."
The seriousness of the children's injuries has not been revealed but it is likely that personal injury solicitors will be consulted to help them make no win, no fee accident claims for personal injury compensation.
