Soldier's cruise claim bid

It has been reported that a 55-year-old man from Wallsend, North Tyneside has hired a new team of no win, no fee solicitors in order to try and inject new life into his cruise holiday accident claim.

His cruise holiday accident claim relates to an incident aboard a Caribbean cruise two years ago, in which he suffered severe burns to his feet after placing them onto searingly hot metal on the deck of the cruise ship.

He recalls, "I decided I would go and get a drink. I put my feet on the deck and they got stuck and started to sizzle."

Tragically, his feet then became so badly infected that one of them eventually needed amputation. Despite this, the tour operator denied liability for the former soldier's compensation claim.

A spokeperson for the man's original legal team said that they had given up hope of being able to provide sufficient evidence to prove negligence. "It was with great reluctance that we were not able to pursue the matter further," he said.

Now though, the man has employed a new team of solicitors to pursue a holiday accident claim in the hope of securing a potentially valuable settlement.
