Rap fan makes compensation claim against star

A female concertgoer who allegedly suffered personal injuries after a rapper threw money into the crowd has launched a compensation claim for damages in the American courts.

The 17-year-old music fan is demanding £500,000 in personal injury compensation following the incident that is said to have occurred during a Lil' Wayne gig at Morgan State University in Maryland.

The woman is making the compensation claim on the grounds that she suffered a head injury and lost consciousness after being trampled in the rush to grab the cash and required treatment at a nearby hospital as a result.

She says the throwing of the money, known in the music world as ‘making it rain', has caused her to be left with severe headaches, memory loss and also unable to concentrate properly.

The compensation claim has been filed at Baltimore Circuit Court and the case is expected to open in the near future.
