The driver of a bus involved in a coach accident that injured 13 elderly holidaymakers has been reported to prosecutors.
The coach, which was travelling to Cheshire from Dornoch, collided with a lorry on the A9 in the Highlands on 16 April.
According to police, the 62-year-old driver had been reported to the procurator fiscal, the body responsible for the prosecution of crime in Scotland, for an alleged careless driving offence.
The coach was carrying a total of 33 passengers at the time of the coach crash, 13 of which suffered passenger injuries. Five ambulances, four fire engines, a rapid response trauma unit and two local GPs were called to the scene to help treat the injured.
It is not yet known what charges he will face if he is prosecuted for causing the coach accident or if any compensation claims for passenger injuries will be made.
