Birmingham woman's anger at compensation award

A woman from Birmingham who suffered multiple cuts and bruises when she was hit by advertising hoardings that were blown free by high winds has received £2,350 in compensation after making a personal injury claim for the accident.

However, the 59-year-old Birmingham resident is disappointed with the size of the personal injury claim payout, commenting, “Every time I speak to someone about the settlement amount they think it’s an insult.

“I’m still upset it happened in the first place. It should never have happened at all.”

She is reported to still feel a significant amount of pain in the little toe she injured in accident.

In addition to being forced to pay the personal injury claim, following the claimant contacting accident compensation solicitors, the construction company responsible for the incident have also been ordered to pay £17,000 for breaching health and safety rules.
