When holiday turns to malady

A couple who experienced a nightmare holiday at a Caribbean resort are poised to make a compensation claim against the tour operator who organised their holiday.

The Northampton couple were looking forward to bit of vital rest and relaxation at the Dominican Republic holiday resort, only when they got there they were almost immediately hit be terrible bouts of sickness and diarrhoea. Believing that the resort was responsible for their maladies, they are now ready to make a holiday accident compensation claim.

One of the couple, a 44-year-old roofer, told press, "She [his wife] got ill on the second day and was terribly sick for the rest of the holiday. At one point she actually passed out through vomiting and diarrhoea.

"I was ill for the last six or seven days and there must have been hundreds of other people affected."

It is not the first time that the holiday resort has been the subject of a compensation claim. Only recently a 19-year-old girl sought the assistance of personal injury solicitors after she also suffered from diarrhoea and sickness while staying there.
