Serious personal injuries suffered in Rugby crash

An 11-year-old boy has been killed after the vehicle he was travelling in was involved in a car accident on a flyover in Warwickshire. The accident happened at around 4.25pm on the 28th December on the A45 flyover on Straight Mile, Rugby.

The car crash occurred when the Ford Mondeo the boy was travelling in collided with a black Mercedes estate.

A five-year-old boy, a 42-year-old man and a 41-year-old woman who were also in the silver Mondeo, were all taken to hospital with serious injuries.

The male driver of the Mercedes was treated for minor injuries at the scene.

Any witnesses of the accident should contact Rugby police on 01926 415415.

It has not been reported whether the drivers of either cars are likely to make a compensation claim for the personal injuries they suffered.
