Stolen bus causes Christmas Day chaos

A trail of road accidents and whiplash ripped through last week's Christmas Day tranquillity, as yobs ran amok in a stolen bus.

The bus was taken from a depot in the West Sussex city of Chichester and was subsequently driven at breakneck speeds along a narrow residential street, leaving several parked vehicles with extensive damage.

One woman who was sitting in her car when the rampaging bus collided with it received whiplash injuries and was rushed to hospital by paramedics.

Glass, broken bumpers and torn-off wing mirrors were left littering the previously quiet road and several cars were pushed into residents' gardens as the bus continued on its path of mayhem and destruction.

The terrifying joyride only came to an end when the bus careered into an old people's home, leaving present-opening pensioners shocked and distraught at their unwelcome Christmas surprise.

One man was spotted running away from the scene of the bizarre bus accident and police are asking the public for help in identifying him.

It is not yet known if the woman injured by the marauding bus is planning to make a personal injury compensation claim for whiplash damages.
