Welsh accident victims who require brain injury rehabilitation could find themselves in new surroundings after Brain Injury Wales, an independent professional brain injury case management and nurse consultancy company, moved into a new office development that used to be farm buildings.
Brain Injury Wales offers a specialised case management service for people who have suffered head trauma. They offer a holistic client-focused approach to community-based rehabilitation and also provide training packages for health professionals and carers who work with those affected by brain injury.
Vicky Shankland, nurse consultant and director of Brain Injury Wales, said, "The focus of our service is based on the principles of neurological rehabilitation, empowering and encouraging patients to take responsibility for their future health.
"We are dealing with highly complex issues and our new premises provide a calm and pleasant environment in which to work, which was an important consideration for us."
Brain injury rehabilitation can possibly be funded by an accident compensation award in the event of a non-fault accident.
