Car crash compensation is being sought by Oxfordshire drivers whose vehicles have been damaged by the potholes across the county's roads.
Oxfordshire's roads were particularly badly affected by this year's harsh winter and the council has received 810 payout claims in the first five months of the year, compared with 248 in the same period last year.
Due to the volume of compensation claims being sought, County Hall, which processes the compensation claims, is unable to say how long drivers will have to wait to receive payouts.
One motorist had to pay £359 for a new wheel and tyre for his Mini Clubman after hitting a pothole in Sheepstead Road, Marcham, on April 27.
The council has told him that he will have to wait at least three months to hear the outcome of his claim.
Speaking about his claim, the infuriated driver said, "My main concern isn't the pothole itself, because they are inevitable after a winter like that. It's how long it takes to sort it out afterwards."
The total amount paid out in accident compensation for pothole damage since January is about £250,000 in Oxfordshire alone.
