Work accident kills popular young woman

A young woman tragically killed in a work accident has been described as a “ray of sunshine” by her devastated mother.

24-year-old Lisa Page received serious personal injuries after being crushed by a falling forklift truck at an industrial site in Norfolk, and died before paramedics could rush her to hospital. Exact details of the incident are not yet known and police and safety inspectors are carrying out a full investigation.

Lisa’s mother, 47-year-old Jane Loveday, paid tribute to her daughter, saying, “She was loved by all her friends and family- she was so lovely, she was like a ray of sunshine. She was full of energy, full of life and was a party girl with her friends.

“What you saw with Lisa was what you got- she didn’t mince her words and if she had something to say she would say it, but she was so kind, and loving and warm.”

Miss Page was described by neighbours as an extremely popular girl and had a passion for motorbikes and boats. She was also a huge Guns N Roses fan and earned a living working on numerous building sites in the Norfolk area.

Upon hearing about the fatal work accident a former employer of the 24-year-old said, “We were all deeply shocked and saddened that someone so young could be taken in their prime. She was a popular girl and we were all keen to see her move forward in the world.”
