London Underground stab victims rushed to hospital
Three men have suffered stomach and back injuries following a frenzied stabbing attack on a late night London tube.
The victims, all aged in their early twenties, were rushed to hospital after the attack at Holloway Road station, and police began searching for the knifeman. Forensic teams initiated a fingertip search of the crime scene and officers are trawling through CCTV recordings. One 27-year-old man has been arrested and is currently being questioned by detectives.
Exact details of the incident are unknown but Sergeant Jeff Perkins of the British Transport Police revealed some information to the media, saying, "Following an altercation with the male suspect on the platform as they got off the train, one man was stabbed in the arm and back, one in the back and one in the stomach.
"We know that the three men were not connected with their attacker but we have yet to establish is why this attack happened."
The two men with back injuries were taken to University College Hospital and released after treatment, but the youngster stabbed in the stomach is in a critical condition in intensive care at the Royal London Hospital where doctors are attempting to stabilise his personal injuries. Media reports indicate that he is likely to survive the ordeal.
